For the first time since 1945 the Ukrainian society and the international community are checked with respect to possible combat employment of nuclear weapons on the planet. At that the source of the nuclear threat is called in advance — the Russian Federation. Who and why needs to prepare the consciousness of the Ukrainians and the international community to the possible nuclear scenario and puts Russia in the accused position in advance?

The article represents a short version of scenario-based forecast of development of Ukraine and the Russian-Ukrainian relations, prepared in July 2008. The forecast has not been published previously. Subsequent developments have fully confirmed the anticipated, although at the time of the forecast preparation a lot of things would seem futurological fiction on the tails of probability distributions. Assessments of the state and prospects of the Ukraine development, made in 2008, are of practical interest today.

There is such a brainwashing that today’s young people in Ukraine haven’t got a very important concept in the life of every human — Motherland!

World in the XXI century is a world of unprecedented changes. International relations are undergoing radical transformation too. Although mankind still witnesses unhealthy and humiliating polarization, existence of billion of poor people, abuse of law, veiled or provoking violence against those who are weaker, the old world nevertheless retreats. Getting rid of these “gifts” of the past is a difficult and long matter. The situation is like this also because these shifts are hampered by the West, primarily by the USA and its suzerains. Washington is trying to prolong the unipolar world — Pax Americana, which entered into the terminal phase of hopeless crisis. But the world has seriously changed: it crossed the line where hegemonies were still possible and untouchable. That’s why Pax Americana’s lifecycle is so short, almost fleeting. History now overtakes Empires much faster….

The article consecutively addresses the issues: for what purpose, who, by what means and in what time could have transformed the worldview of the population of the whole country, Ukraine, without causing elementary cognitive dissonance?

The author is a Ukrainian citizen, who cannot and does not want to stay away from what is happening. The article describes how the media owned by big capital are brainwashing the Ukrainian people, setting it against Russia, assuring that its multinational population is the enemy of Ukraine and its occupant.

Hope for the Slavic historical reality is not so unstable as it seems now. In this case, initiation of the Ukrainian-Russian cultural and language contact within the framework of one-way complex of independent vectors will form a basis for the political system, able to build and to defend this reality.
